Psychotherapy
My counseling practice is about helping my clients see their true path and align (or re-align) their actions accordingly. I serve as an active guide helping you see all that you are without judgment. I meld critical thinking and psychology with promotion of healthy practices to assist you in meeting your unique life goals. My work is about guiding people to make this a reality by providing many types of tools using more than traditional psychology.
I believe we all have the right to feel at home in ourselves and our world.
Therapy is often called talk therapy, psychotherapy, or counseling and is the process of helping you heal and learn more constructive ways to deal with the problems or issues challenging you, either internally or externally. It is meant to be a supportive process when going through a difficult period or under increased stress, such as changing careers or going through relationship struggles.
Generally, psychotherapy is called for when a person is grappling with an ongoing or acute life, relationship or work issue or a specific mental health concern, and as a result the individual is in pain or struggling for longer than a few days. Therapy might also be required if you are in need of a diagnosis to move forward on a medical procedure or process.
We can work together on issues like Anxiety, Chronic Pain, Depression, Existential Questions, Fertility Challenges, Gender Identity (Trans, Intersex, Queer, and Cross dressing), Lawyers and Law Students Stress (and supporting those who love them), Mid and Quarter Life Crises, Parenting (including prenatal and postnatal consults), Professional Challenges, Sexuality (Straight, LGBT and Questioning), Sex-Positive Relationships, Women’s issues or whatever is concerning you.
I started my Therapy practice in the East Bay in 2008 at the Pacific Center for Human Growth. I saw couples, families, individuals, kids and teens for three years in Berkeley before moving my practice north.
